Real-world data underscores need for Johnson & Johnson vaccine recipients to get boosters, scientists say

Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine is 73.6% effective, new real-world data shows. That is similar to data observed during clinical trials. But some scientists say it adds to the evidence that the vaccine can be improved with a second dose or a booster shot of the Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines.
