FOX 29 takes ‘The Dr. Oz Show’ off air after physician enters Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senate race

FOX 29 has temporarily removed “The Dr. Oz Show” off the air in the Philadelphia television market after the physician entered Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senate race earlier this week. The decision was made in anticipation of Federal Communications Commission rules that require equal coverage for rival senatorial candidates in the state. Television stations in New York City and Cleveland have also temporarily dropped the daily syndicated talk show due to each market’s respective reach into parts of Pennsylvania.
